2011 Event Schedule

Active members of the Company of Select Marksmen are required to attend at least two of the events highlighed in red.

Thank you for visiting our site. We hope you enjoyed it and learned something. If you are interested in learning more you might want to take some time to visit us at one of the local historic events we will be attending this year. Almost all the events except for the our annual Historic Adirondack Trek are open to the public.

The original Company of Select Marksmen was supposed to be 100 men strong. At the best of times it barely just made half that number. As a result membership in the organization is limited to about 50 men. Currently we have a small waiting list for members who wish to join us. If you would like more information regarding membership please contact one of our officers listed below. Finally, if you have comments or discover a dead link in this website please contact the Webmaster also listed below.

However, we MAY get to use the cabin, in which case it will be open and warm for Friday night. March???—Late Winter Scout? I want to see what the Metcalf’s are like on snowshoes, but I’m not guaranteeing I can do this. Any interest? May 13-16—Mabee Farm. A bigger, better version of Lansing Manor on an 18th c. farm near Schenectady, NY. July 8-10—Hubbardton. Need I say more? This year, I think we’ll do the whole battlefield march—we have a new generation, a new breed—time to walk the 23 miles from Ti again. Will count as a mini-trek. We’ll get to chase and fight Whitcomb’s all the way! Maybe Warner’s too. Also we’ll climb the mountain. We may not see much of the actual event, but I guarantee we’ll have a ball.
